A few months ago I made this video for Slice of Lime.  They focus on User Experience, User Interface Design, and full-service Marketing Websites.  I spent a day with the team and really just had a lot of fun.  They’re a small group of smart, talented people who are also good at laughing.  If you’re looking for UX, UI strategy designs and/or Marketing Websites, check them out!.  The office is located in Boulder, Colorado with clients all over.

SendGrid is an insanely awesome company I was lucky enough to meet in TechStars 2010.  Since then Tim Falls & Carly Branz called me in to make some videos on SendGrid.  The video below shows what it’s like to work at SendGrid & why employees love it. They’re really an amazing company full of talented people making a difference in the world of e-mail and beyond. Check out their job listings here.

I made this video on Roximity for some friends, Danny Newman & Austin Gayer.  They’re super creative entrepreneurs based in Denver/Boulder.  Roximity is one of their latest projects. It’s a new location-based smartphone app that provides real-time deals and specials. Roximity is one of five smartphone apps compatible with Ford’s Sync AppLink.

Right now Danny & Austin are in Vegas with Ford at CES & unveiled the Roximity app.

A few months ago Emily Olson asked me to come to San Francisco and make a few videos on their deliciously delightful company Foodzie, a website connecting you with small producers who create real, good tasting food. It all started several years ago when I met the Foodzie team filming a short piece, StartUP, on TechStars for Current TV.

Fast forward to October 2011 when I found myself in San Francisco spending a weekend doing a lot of shooting… and eating!  It was a lot of work but a lot of fun.  The good news is I actually did not gain any weight.   I also got to see two of my close friends who live there.

Here are two of the videos I created for Foodzie, the first one is The Story of Foodzie. The second video follows the food adventures Emily takes on with Aida Mollenkamp from FoodCrafters.  They explore the Ferry Building Plaza while Aida picks out her favorite entertaining treats for the tasting box.

Please take note of the music in both videos. Their CDs make great holiday gifts;)

Most of you already know but just in case this is news to you, Bloomberg TV picked up a TV show on TechStars.  I’m really looking forward to seeing TechStars on national TV starting September 13th at 9pm EST on Bloomberg TV.  This is super exciting after having had the opportunity to make The Founders web series on TechStars.  Now you finally know why The Founders didn’t happen this summer.  Check out the trailer of the new TV show below on the inside look of TechStars New York.  Although I wasn’t part of the production, I was happy & lucky enough to film a little, some footage of Immersive Labs in Boulder & an interview with Brad Feld, which you’ll see in the trailer and probably first episode.  I hope you enjoy the series, get inspired to pursue your idea and perhaps even apply to TechStars.

The TechStars Network

One of my favorite parts of filming and making various types of documentary videos is the opportunity to get a realistic glimpse into others’ lives.  It’s like getting a buffet table of knowledge where I get to sample different worlds from skydiving to quilting clubs.  I love my job.  One of the industries I’ve greatly enjoyed documenting is tech, thanks to David Cohen & TechStars.  It has been amazing to witness & document the growth of the entrepreneurial community in Boulder over the last few years.  There has been tons of exciting press on the tech & entrepreneurial community in Boulder from CNBC, Fox to MSNBC.

The TechStars Network launched January 31 as part of the White House Startup America initiative, the video above explains.  The TechStars Network will ensure that 5,000 successful and experienced entrepreneurs and investors will mentor and support 6,000 promising young entrepreneurs, increasing their success rate tenfold and creating 25,000 new jobs by 2015, while creating a sustainable engine for growing these figures over time.  I made this video using footage from The Founders web series and thanks to some cool people in NYC for setting up a camera for David’s interview… first time I interviewed someone on skype.  You can read more on the TechStars commitment with the Startup America Partnership here and also see the video on their site which is super exciting!  If you have an idea you want to pursue, now is a great time to go for it!

Music in this video includes Calvin Locklear, Harper Blynn, & Hello Kavita.  I love their music so definitely check them out.

The Founders Trailer no.2

Here is a new trailer I made on The Founders (video above), a web series that documents the adventures of tech startups going through TechStars.  It’s fun highlighting some of my favorite moments from the entire summer & compressing it into a two-minute trailer.  I ended up shooting over 30 hours of footage which turned into (12) 5-minute episodes… The Founders.  It was quite an adventurous summer as I found myself hanging out of helicopters, following startups, & meeting tons of interesting people.  Below is the first trailer I made on The Founders.  Always love to hear from you: which trailer you like better and why.
