It’s super exciting to announce that TechStars‘ The Founders, episode “Demo Day”, won a Heartland Emmy for directing! It feels a little self-indulging to make a post on this, but I just can’t help it. The photos above are by Ear2Ear Photobooths and include Brian, my husband, and some friends who won an Emmy for a different category/project, Joy & Jim. Congrats to them as well!

It was an intensely fun experience documenting tech startups in Boulder resulting in (12) ~6 minute episodes. Thanks to David Cohen for giving me the opportunity, RackSpace for sponsoring the web series, my husband Brian & parents for supporting me alllll of the time, and everyone at TechStars & in the Boulder community who let me stick a camera in your face all summer.

“We’re Not Alone” is the 6th episode from The Founders web series for TechStars. No matter if you are starting a business or sailing around the world, when you push yourself out of your comfort zone, things get complicated. It can feel like you’re fighting against the current by yourself. It’s easy to forget that their is a support group behind you. Just like we all should be there for our friends & family, people are there for you.
